East India Company is a real-time strategy computer game developed by Finnish company Nitro Games and published by Paradox Interactive. It was released on July 31, 2009 in North America with an August 14, 2009 scheduled release date for Europe. The game is based on the history of European conquest of South Asia and Southeast Asia by means of their East India Companies. In the game, the player takes on the role of the Governor Director of the East Indies. The task is to conquer India and establish a trade empire to rule over all others. The game features real-time naval combat when enemy ships engage the player's fleets, and real-time land combat when the enemy tries to invade one of the player's colonies. East India Company combines trading, naval warfare, and management. Players can create a fleet to conquer the enemy with powerful warships and privateers.

Modify ships:

Use a text editor to edit the "shiptypes" file in the  directory:
"\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\East India Company\Data\AI". This file contain the
configuration of every ship. You can edit their price, health, cannons, cargo space, etc.
This procedure may affect AI game play, because the AI may use these same configurations 
to purchase and use their ships of the same kind. The following is an example for the 
Galleon.

Gameinfo:

In East India Company, players assume the role of Governor Director
of one of the East India Companies or other rival companies. There 
are eight nationalities to choose from: British, Dutch, French, 
Danish, Portuguese, Swedish, Italian or Spanish - with the goal of
bringing new colonies and wealth such as: tea, spices, gold, diamonds
and other precious cargo back to Europe, but they must dominate the 
other rival empires along the way. Players will also conquer the open
sea and explore 40 different cities, towns and villages.
